A New Adventure

Welcome to Vaga Journeys!

I am one half of Vaga Journeys.  Along with my partner, Richard, we plan to create some pretty amazing tours and we hope that you will join us on this new adventure.

When I say adventure, I really mean that in its truest form.  This is something that both Richard and I have been wanting to do for years.  My first passion is travel.  I love all aspects of travel.  That anxious feeling you get wondering if your flight will make it on time.  Did I pack enough underwear?  How long will that cab ride be to my hotel?  I hope there’s a pool!  I really just love the whole travel experience.  The good, the bad, and the ugly.  It’s all an adventure to me.  Getting out of my home country of Canada (which I love BTW!), and exploring new countries, cities, people, culture, that’s really my happy place.

I live in Ottawa, though I was born in Germany, and English is my 3rd language after French and German.  Growing up with parents from Europe who love to travel, I think has definitely set me on a path to appreciate that travel is a privilege and one that I try not to take for granted….even when stuck on the tarmac at the Ottawa airport for 3 hours.  My 9-5 career is also in the travel industry with a heavy focus on traveler experience.  But enough about me!  That’s not why you stopped by today.  This will be the first of many blog posts focused around travel industry trends, tips and tricks, and of course, all things Vaga Journeys.

We created Vaga Journeys so that we could put our love for travel into something we can share with all of you.  Starting with a walking tour where will be exploring the last 120 KM’s of the Camino de Santiago in Spain.  Having walked the Camino 5 times, I know what an amazing experience this is and we wanted to create an opportunity for people to come together and walk with us from Sarria to Santiago on a 5 day adventure.  Tours will begin in September, 2020 so stay tuned for more information as the months progress.

Lastly, I want to thank you all for stopping by, and I hope you will stop by every week for our weekly blog posts.
